Auto Dealership Tricks

If you want to buy a car make sure that you know what you are doing because not all people out there make an honest dollar. Most of them are experienced and aggressive salespeople that will do anything for the sake of money. You'll need to be an educated, assertive consumer.

This is a bit of research that will enhance your understanding on car dealership scams; you should be ready to head to the showroom in just a few hours.

First, you must have an idea about the car dealers and how they make deals on trade selling cars in order for you to have a proper understanding of car dealerships scams.

Car dealers will never give a price quotation of the cars it is a preventive strategy of loosing one buyer due to comparisons with another dealer who would probably offer a lower price. What they have to do is make you commit to them before the announcement of final selling price. Before you make a move try to maneuver the dealer into telling you the price quotation and if you failed to do so you just have to negotiate the terms of the deal with them but beware for the following tricks:

1. The low price scheme is commonly used trick of the dealers. They will encourage you to negotiate with them by offering you the lowest possible price of the car just to find out during the transactions that there is no low price at all that you are now a victim of a broken promise.

2. Another trick of the dealers is when a buyer decide to look around for another car dealerships in the market that offers lower price cars the salesman will tell you that he can give you the same possible price that will match to other but you think that searching is an exhausting job and you are too tired for that and now you’re trap with no choice but to take their offer.

3. Some dealers try to upset buyers by calling them on the phone telling that they can offer a lower price car until you give up and transact with them. To avoid this eerie salesman don’t give any contact number or give them the wrong one to evade them.

4. Car dealers will try to lend you the car for an overnight or a whole day test but this time you fall for the car and buy it as what they intended to happen.

5. Giving promos are one of the good tricks for an immediate sale. Car dealers will make you believe that they promo of a low price car is until the end of the day and have the mistake of buying the car without checking with other car dealers offer. Only regrets in the end.

6. Car dealers will divert your attention away from the price by showing the add-ons to be installed into your car. In that way you won’t ask for a lower price because of the extras that the dealers to give you.

How can you avoid all of these tricks? Educate yourself. “Many dealers are good and honest, but there are some that you need to be more careful of.”
