How to Get Cheap Travel Airline Tickets

Going out for vacation is a great idea. This is the right time for you to escape your boss and to get out from your daily routines momentarily. But having your dream vacation could be very costly. So what are you going to do in order your trip to be enjoyable and at the same time affordable?

Let’s start from getting a cheaper travel airline ticket.

  • Airlines release their new fares and seat plans every 12:01 midnight Wednesday. Call the airline during this time and you will get the best seat and cheapest tickets.
  • Buy your tickets three to five months before your departure date. Early buyers can get discounted tickets and can ensure the best seats for you. The price of an airline ticket increases during the holiday season and most discounted tickets sell out fast.
  • Fly on weekdays not on weekends, preferably Monday to Wednesday. This will avoid you to high traffics and paying an additional $25 to $40 increase.
  • Avoid traveling during peak travel season. The price of airline tickets during this season is quite high. If you want to avoid, aside from the high price, crowded airports and tourist spots, try traveling during low season.
  • If you stay at least a week at your destination and return within 90 days you’ll get discounted tickets from the airlines.
  • You can save up to US$1000 if you book to a connecting flight instead of direct flights. Connecting flight is cheaper. So if you have less luggage and time is not an issue for you, connecting flight is best for you.
  • Ask if the senior citizen discount is available.
  • Try to browse the Internet. It is very convenient to shop on the net. You can see all available prices even you’re at home. This will save you from canvasing on different travel agencies. There are internet discounts if you avail their services.
  • Look at newspapers. Some airlines publish discounts on print.

It is still advisable to check first with your travel agents regarding prices of tickets especially if you’re planning to buy more than six months in advance.
